Kitty Hawk, OBX, 2010, I think.
It almost never snows in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and when it does, it rarely sticks. On the sound side of the island in the village of Southern Shores, there is a series of canals and waterways. They are beautiful at any time of the year, but with a blanket of freshly fallen snow, they transform into a mystical wonderland. It is silent and peaceful on this Christmas eve.
It IS beautiful, and I would bet also silent. How wonderful that it came on Christmas Eve!
